Add Your First Pet
Create a pet profile with photo, species, breed, and medical details.
Adding a pet to FoundYa creates their digital profile - the page that anyone who scans their tag will see.
How to add a pet
- From your dashboard, tap Add Pet (or the + button)
- Upload a clear photo of your pet (this is what finders will see)
- Enter their name, species, and breed
- Optionally add date of birth, weight, microchip ID, and medical notes
Tips for a great pet profile
- Use a clear, recent photo - this helps finders identify your pet quickly
- Add your microchip ID - vets and shelters can cross-reference this
- Keep medical notes current - allergies, medications, and conditions that a finder or vet should know about
Editing your pet
You can update any pet details at any time from the pet's detail page. Tap the pet card on your dashboard, then edit any field.
What finders see
When someone scans your pet's NFC tag, they'll see:
- Pet photo, name, species, and breed
- Medical information (if provided)
- A "Message Owner" button for direct communication
- Whether the pet is currently marked as lost
