Download the App & Pair Your Tag
Get the FoundYa app on your phone and link your NFC tag to your pet's profile.
Once you've created your account and added a pet on the web, the next step is pairing a physical NFC tag using the mobile app.
Download the app
FoundYa is available for both iOS and Android. You'll be prompted to download it during onboarding, or you can find it by searching "FoundYa" in your app store.
Sign in with the same email and password you used on the web.
Pair your tag
- Open the FoundYa app and go to the Tags tab
- Tap Register Tag
- Hold the NFC tag against the back of your phone - the app will read the chip's unique ID automatically
- Select which pet to link the tag to
- Choose your NFC mode: online (cloud profile with messaging), offline (vCard with your contact details), or hybrid (both)
Most modern smartphones have the NFC reader near the top-centre of the back. If the tag doesn't scan, try moving it slowly across the back of your phone.
What happens after pairing
Your tag is now live. Anyone who taps it with their phone will see your pet's profile - no app download required on their end. You'll receive a push notification whenever the tag is scanned, along with the finder's approximate location.
